In the early 1990’s Tower Ventures was created as an outgrowth of the transition from a family owned radio business to a company that developed and marketed towers in the newly developing cellular and wireless industry.

The company’s growth during the 1990’s through 2006 was primarily through the development of tower sites for national carriers as they built out their networks. During this period the company built over 400 towers in 16 states in the Midwest and Southeast.

In 2007 Tower Ventures evolved from a regional builder of towers to a national tower operating company with the acquisitions of several carrier specific tower portfolios, growing the company portfolio to 678 towers nationally as of the end of 2011. During that period the company expanded its ownership group to include Brown Brothers Harriman which added strategic vision to the company’s development and operations programs.

Tower development along with the acquisition and sale of tower portfolios since the early 2000’s has been impressive for the company. Having acquired over 1,500 towers and selling more than 700 towers since this time; Tower Ventures is one of the premier, privately owned tower companies domestically.

Today the company owns over 400 tower assets throughout the United States, and manages another 450 third party rooftops and towers available for colocation. Tower Ventures is proud to be one of the top, full-service providers in the telecommunication infrastructure industry having expanded from a traditional tower company to now include site acquisition and leasing, construction management / build-to-suit services as well as third party tower and rooftop management to other tower and real estate developers.
